OUTDOOR HIGH ADVENTURE
There is a wide spectrum of high adventure activities you may have already experienced such as trekking adventures which include back-packing, back-country camping, and orienteering. You learned about safety, the gear, planning, and other tips if you earned your middle school "Trailblazing" badge and/or did the Virtually Badges "Outdoor Trail Prep & Fun" workshop. You are invited to check out or revisit that workshop to review that fundamental information.

In this workshop we will focus on some other outdoor high adventure activities & their specific requirements:
  • Winter adventures: mountain/cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snow-shoeing
  • Water adventures: Kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding (SUP), snorkeling, white water rafting
  • Climbing adventures: canyoneering, gym/sport rock climbing, mountaineering, rappelling, ropes course, and zip-lining
  • Cycling adventures: Mountain biking
  • Caving (Spelunking)
  • Horse/Large animal packing

These activities, when done safely and with proper gear, will practice teamwork, leadership, setting goals, and perseverance to overcome mental and physical challenges.
They may be a memorable highlight to your list of outdoor experiences!
