Choose 1 of the following to do:
1. Do a taste test and share your results. Obtain a food item from a local farm or garden (farmer's market, your own garden, or labeled as locally grown at a store etc. ) and do a blind taste test with you and your family or friends with the same food item that was not grown locally (the label may say where it is from). Make sure the sample is the same level of ripeness. Share your results with someone or click "share your work" in the navigation menu to share on social media. OR 2. Interview your family or friends with this question (email, messaging, or text is fine): What is the furthest distance you would get food that could still be considered "locally grown"? (Would it be within your town, city, state, region, country?) |
