Objectives Met
Scouts were able to:
1. Define "public policy" & identify several types of public policy, determine who makes public policy, and explore topics covered by public policy.
2. Match examples of federal public policy created & funded programs with their function.
3. Through game play, explore ways an individual can make or change public policy.
4. Experience how values can shape different public policies through an activity.
5. Identify the actions of women policy makers/changers in history and make connections to what action they can take today to make a change in their community.
6. Explore differences in public policy for similar problems in different countries.
7. Virtually interview a local level school board policy maker and virtually experience a school board meeting in action.
8. Reference Roberts Rules of Order for official meetings.
