Scouts were able to:
1.Practice observation skills as they placed themselves in a situation as an eyewitness to a fictitious crime. (Optional: sketched fictitious criminal they witnessed from memory.)
2. Analyze and make inferences about fingerprint samples and make their own fingerprint samples to analyze and label.
3. Compare and make predictions about handwriting samples.
4. Learn from 2 forensic experts about their jobs and what it requires.
5. Understand body language and its importance during criminal interrogations. Examine the ethics of polygraph testing.
6. Practice science lab procedures to learn about forensic chemistry, biology and physics. Chromatography, DNA extraction & anthropometric analysis are practiced.
7. Investigate, and use deductive reasoning to make inferences during several online detective themed games.
