Once you have chosen a vacation destination,
  • What activities do you want to do there?
  • Is there an all inclusive (meals, entertainment etc. included) package deal you can find?
  • What souvenirs will you buy?

1.These & more are the details you will need to decide on, and then research prices online. (There are travel sites such as priceline.com, travelocity.com, expedia.com etc. you could visit or search your destination, lodging preference, and transportation company directly.)

2. Create a basic itinerary. Tell us:
  • where you are going & for how long

  • how are you getting to and from the destination? What is the cost?

  • will you need to pay for transportation once you get there? How much will it cost?
  • lodging (Where you will sleep and stay?) & cost total.

  • how much will you spend on meals and snacks for each day you are there?

  • what activities will you do each day and what are the costs?

3. With your salary and take home pay, how much money will you need to save each month and for how many years will you need to save to afford this vacation?
