Objectives
Scouts were able to:
1. Experience a virtual field trip to an observatory/planetarium, Wolf Wildlife & Research facility, & a night shift. j
2. Create a telescope tube craft to practice learning constellations.
3. Discover their own night sky using an online planisphere.
4. Identify nocturnal animal sounds and understand how animals see in darkness.
5. Explore night time around their community and sharing their experience with others.
6. Learn about night sky science.
7. Interview a person who works the night shift.
8. Experience and reflect upon a "power down" evening.
9. Learn about famous night scene art, poems, and stories and their artists.
10. Color VanGogh's "Starry Night".
11. Say "good night" in various languages.
