Objectives Met
Scouts were able to:
1. Enhance their outdoor high-adventure knowledge, make educated choices for selecting an adventure that meets their ability level.
2. Explore the basic requirements for preparing for and planning a successful outdoor high-adventure experience.
3. Organize lists of proper gear for their selected adventure and then research the best comparative cost and budget for that needed gear.
4. Learn how to care for their gear.
5. Compile basic safety requirements and helpful tips for several outdoor high adventure activities.
6. Plan teamwork building games, job charts, and team role assignments.
7. Review the principles of "Leave No Trace" outdoor conservation. Practice identifying the 7 principles of Leave No Trace through art so that they may better remember to put the principles into practice when outdoors.
8. Prepare a creative tool to share their captured memories in order to educate and/or inspire others about their selected outdoor high-adventure activity.
